Hodo and Daikon nodded. “You have our commitment that we will take this teaching to heart,” said Daikon.
“Your commitment to me is nothing. Your commitment to yourself is everything,” Ping answered. “All that is necessary for success or failure is contained within the self.”
Ping studied their faces. “No one can deliver you a rainbow; it is you who must take on the responsibility to do what you want to do and be what you want to be. Obstacles are there to prevent you. Distractions are there to pull you. Fear is there to keep you where you are. These things will become visible only when you take your eyes off the path. To live your dream, do not worry about what to do–just do what needs to be done. It is decisions, not conditions, that determine your destiny. Travel with no thought in your heart but to do and to be.
“It has not been easy,” Daikon said. “Even though we saw what everybody else saw, we thought about things that nobody else thought. No matter how far we believed we could jump, there were those who would say we could not.”
“If you believe in yourself, do you need the belief of others?” asked Ping.
“Do not put up with those who would put you down. Distance yourself from those who try to tempt you away from your path and crush your character. Just as birds of a feather flock together, creatures of confidence cluster. They support and encourage others. Attach yourself to those kindred spirits who have faith in who you are and what you desire to accomplish. Inherit their passion for possibility, personal growth, and intention. Intention transforms reality.”
“I get it. I get it.”
“You can and you must,” urged Ping. “The path to fulfillment is not smooth and uneventful. Rather, it is a journey full of doubts and difficulties that will take you to places and time where you will be forced to confront the great unknown. The brave frog leaps beyond what is, into an exhilarating world of what can be.”
Again, “I get it. I get it,” from Daikon and Hodo.
“We will see,” said Ping. “We will see…”

Believing in myself is difficult at times, without the affirmation of others. I wish that more people will be confident in us. Mostly yes, we need the belief of others, but developing our own esteem is also essential.
I know needy people, one person is called Eliz Athineu who had delusions that she was world famous and had high IQ. obviously she had plenty of traumatic issues and complaint about hair loss and etc, despite these results. Maybe even had bipolar disorder. Be careful of these needy types or they drain our self confidence!

To build the foundation of believing in oneself, i think we would want to have the belief of others first! From there, we’ll slowly build up our confidence, then we’ll start to believe in ourselves. Friends play a vital role in this!

No one can deliver you a rainbow means no one can overcome your troubles for you ,nobody is perfect.You have to overcome your troubles on your own. You have to find a way to go through obstacles or flow around obstacles Or you can push parts off of course but your life gets a little narrow as a result. If you shun the painful parts of your life, you risk them growing wild with neglect and taking you over like weeds. Weeds start from a tiny plant ,if you do not pull it out, it will continue growing and destroy all the healthy plants and there will be more weeds growing.Which means our problems start small and if you do not overcome it , your problem will become bigger and bigger . Then , more and more problems come and whatever good things you have in you will be destroyed . We should overcome our problems before they turn into “weeds”.

We can’t depend on another to help yourself achive our goals but we can only depend on another to give us encouragement and do the rest by ourselves.
Although everyone should encourage each other it is not going to happen, we it is right to expect encouragement not eveyone will do that.
We can’t let bring you down. Eventhough someone may say something bad about you it does not mean that it always true. It is hard to overcome the discouragement but you have to.

When one does something, he/she just needs to belief in himself/herself. We do not other people’s belief.We are the one doing it, not others.
We must just follow what we want to do. If we keep telling ourselves that we need others’ belief, if they say something negative, we will forever follow blindly and listen to them. We must have a mind of our own.
However, sometimes we have to look at the situation. Sometimes when we really need peoples’ affirmation, just ask. Besides it won’t hurt.If you are really doing something wrong, when you ask for peoples’ beliefs and opinion, you will learn that whatever you’re doing is bad. So I just want to say, it depends on the situation.
