Thank you for the music!

In this post, we’re inviting all NLB staff, friends, members of public, random netizens to leave a farewell comment/gripe/wish/song dedication.

*Thanks Karen for dedicating Manhattan Skyline by the Kings of Convenience to us in the previous post!

I’ll miss this library as it is a good place to stop by to read books from the crowded Orchard. Thanks for being here. Hope to see this library at another location in this crowded place.

I will forever support the library.. We have been to the library for 8 years and will always hold the library in our heart. We hope that the next library that opens in Orchard will better or as good as this one. We also hope that the Chinese Books and Reference books will be aplenty.

I was actually there at around two. You were tearing this poster/wall-thing off the.. wall. And then after that, you were just pacing around busily doing things.

Missed the event at night due to some other commitments. See you soon!

The party was rocking and bittersweet all at the same time. Today, the day after our party, as we are packing, and there’s this white paper hoarding going up on all our glass panels, I suddenly felt sad and lost when I was standing outside of the library looking at it, like when someone dies and it hits you. It suddenly hit me…that we are now closed and that’s it, finito, adios, goodbye, it’s over…and best said by one of our guests…the end of an era.

  15. Karen Says:

@Jillian: You were dashing around the library at lightning speed. I didn’t want to disrupt your work and make you mad! I will prod you extra hard the next time.

Anyway, my last visit to the library…

  16. Claire Says:
