My own wish is that the new library@orchards will be truly cutting edge wrt to libraries and they’ll be in a constant flux to maintain that edge. Like in the Tipping Point, it’s mentioned that an idea is started by the Innovators and is brought forward Early Adopters? That’s where I’d wish we’d be. (The other groups mentioned are: The Early Majority, The Late Majority and finally the Laggards :|)

Hi Carol,
We’ll have 2 new locations in Orchard come 2010, so wait for us!!! In the meantime, visit the next closest library to us - the Central Lending Library in Bugis…

It is a great to be in Orchard’s NLB, but what a pitty it will be closed soon. Hope NLB will continue its ops in Orchard

Sean is saying thank you because we just gave him a movie voucher! In fact, Sean and Dave were the lucky October babies on Sunday - they were e 1st 2 to rush to the customer service counter and received a Cathay movie voucher for their efforts! (oh… sean has the same birthday as me altho unfortunately I do not get a free movie voucher)
If you are an October baby, hang around library@orchard on the weekends. We will be giving away 2 movie vouchers to 2 lucky Oct babies during our happy hours of 2-6pm. On 21st Oct, we will be doubling that and will be giving away 4 movie vouchers!

Happy Birthday, library@orchard! Really sad that I won’t be able to say goodbye, coz by the time I come back, you will have moved out of Ngee Ann City. I will forever miss those days when I would shop at Kino, then walk upstairs into library@orchard, borrow a couple of books and walk into the Taiwanese cafe next couple of doors for a late lunch.
I hope to see library@orchard grow to become a great comrade for the people who will see their minds continually being broadened. Let library@orchard become the spark that inspires the ones whose minds are constantly being challenged. I wish all of you who work at library@orchard exceptional courage to take it to beyond the horizons of the ordinary limited mind.

definitely going to miss library@orchard very much! i love this library a lot because this is the coolest library among all the rest in singapore. the design and setting are awesome. thank you for servicing us all these years. i am looking forward to the new library at orchard.
