Yes, yes, I know what they say about resolutions, but I never listen. (Perhaps there lies a resolution for next year?) In any case, a goal, realistically set, is always good; if you don’t hit the hit mark, at least no one can accuse you of not trying. (Hmm, that didn’t come out right.)
In any case, setting a goal of 12 books to read in 2012—that’s about a book a month—is very, very conservative and realistic. Of course, I’ll review all my reads here on High Browse, so you can witness my progress (or my ultimate humiliation at not being to conscientiously read even one book a month).
If you’re a fellow challenger, feel free to share your progress with us via comments. (At the rate I’m reading, I’ll make you look good. Promise.)

Best of luck Roy – there’s a lot of people from Singapore on the GoodReads website. You discover a lot of new books that way too!

Roy, I’m doing 300 but I take ‘breaks’ with photography and art books, to keep it fresh and to add variety.
