HB Squad ALERT! . gossip + snippets
Dear Readers,
the autummal months are now upon us, though here in the tropics it remains as green as ever. The big buzz around our island right now is the upcoming inaugural F1 night race.We have a special series of features and book reviews inspired by F1 coming soon, so watch out for those.
I came across 3 interesting blog sites this time round, 2 with overlapping similarities, and one home-grown Singapore site.
Books on the Brain by Lisa Munley - She is a soccer mum, and so much more. A short list of her interests and activities include: book club organiser, girl scout leader, amateur photographer, etc. She’s a woman in the thick of life, and enjoying every moment of it. Besides her own down-to-earth book reviews, her blog also features guests posts by other bloggers.
ReadingWritingLiving is by Susan - she too is a wife and mother, and someone with a multi-hypenate list of activities and passions. Her latest post speaks of having recently-rejoined a book club after a lengthy absence. As she is also a writer, the blog contains interesting musings and reflections on developments in her own life.
And finally, the last blog in this selection is 100% local - Books in the Air, by Lian Tiong Thye. For him, the blog is a running diary of sorts, of books read, impressions of life in Singapore, with a particular concern for the future of books and reading.
What do you think? Know of any interesting book-related news? Want to join the Hb Squad?
