That’s what we’re calling our year of books on our social media channels.
Our monthly themes will showcase the many wonderful stories we read – whether on books, films or games.
We’re also partnering with libraries from Australia, New Zealand and Denmark on a Twitter Reading Group, which we will participate in on a specific date every alternate month. [Look out for details of our upcoming chat in June]
January – #bookwhatIfound
Dedicated to the astonishing, unexpected, but always interesting books you stumble upon, and the weird and wonderful folks who read them.
Whatever your interest , you can be sure that there’s a book out there for you.
February – #heartread
For February, we celebrate all aspects of love – from books on historical romances to contemporary chick lit, films on star-crossed lovers or romantic comedies.
There are so many heartfelt stories out there – whether you are Reading, Watching or Playing one, you may like to tweet about it using #heartread throughout the month.
[Update:] Thanks everyone who took part in February’s discussion!
For those who missed it, a full transcript of the chat is available on Storify
A very comprehensive summary of the books, movies, and other stuff discussed can be seen on the wrap up post published by the read. watch. play blog …or alternatively, you can check out our list of Heartread Book Awards

April – #crimeread
Murder, theft, blackmail. The detectives, investigators, and lawyers that try to solve them.
The mystery, setting, and intrigue.
What makes reading about crime so fascinating? Read more about our theme for the month here.

May – #inspiread
Inspiration can come in many forms, and in many different types of books. Inspirational stories may motivate you to change your life – catch the travel bug, learn something new, spend more time with your family, or all of the above.
Which books made a difference in your life? What are you inspired by? Share them on Twitter or Instagram with the #inspiread tag.
We’ll be updating this page with more themes for the rest of the year, so stay tuned!
