For me, it’s the moment early on, when Celine and Jesse are talking at the back of a bus — there’s this one instant where Jesse reaches his hand out, thinking of casually brushing a stray strand of hair away from Celine’s face before he catches himself. So natural and perfect a moment that captures their tentative attraction :)

Usually a scene will win it for me. That scene in this movie, is that indescribable moment where both Celine and Jesse were listening to a song in the record store. No dialogue, stolen glances. Bingo. Pure magic.

It’s a bit like Lost in Translation - you’re in transit, you are sort of disoriented, you say things which you would never say in ‘real life’ - you think about the big things of the world. Sigh - but the connection - as much as I hate the term - soulmates.
